Abstract

The following research project aims to find the most suitable material for a coupling when it is being used in a traction gearbox load test. This will be achieved by researching the materials and their properties to see how they would cope being exerted to torque and vibration throughout a load test. Further to this, as well as the couplings being able to be used during test successfully, there will be a system in place to allow the couplings to be hydraulically fitted and removed.
